We made it to Cape Verde!

Only a few fish lost to the ocean – including one that locked its whole mouth around Josh’s ankle – but luckily no other major dramas. More dolphins were spotted, some actual sailing was done in some big swells. I have no doubt that Sean will still get his chance to catch a Mahi… it’s only a matter of time.

Yet again, the days were filled with yoga, reading, cooking, Ukulele and I even wrote a few poems (not sure exactly why!). Maybe the ocean can drive you a little crazy. We are all hanging in there at the moment but I fear that the next two weeks may drive us slightly insane.

We got to experience the full moon which guided the way during the final stretch of the crossing. We are now in Mindelo, Cape Verde which isn’t exactly the best spot for getting any fresh provisions but we knew that already. Extra pasta, tuna and oreos should do the trick.

Hopefully the next time I check in we will be on the other side of the pond!

Peace out. Besos xxx
